I have never experienced anything like this before, but they would not sweat on to the copper pipe no matter what I tried! I gave it 5 attempts, cutting the existing pipe shorter and shorter every time to start fresh and it would not adhere. Fortunately I was able to get a no hassle refund.

Horrible value for money. The ID of the fitting is too large to slip snugly around a 1/2 inch copper pipe. Wasted an hour trying to solder these thinking my technique must have been wrong. No, every fitting in the package was faulty and every joint failed. I'm returning these pieces of garbage. Buyer beware
