Jack: The fitting is a pro pex fitting you can not use crimp rings or crimping tools with it.
It is 1/2 inch fittings, and it is made to be used with the pro pex expandable m12 gun. The fittings is made specifically to be used with the expandable tool only.
Whats_True: EXPANSION PIPE ONLY
The reviewers on here didn't read the description at all. This is for Pex-A expansion pipe. Not crimpNot clampExpansion. Pipe.Meaning, you need to expand the Pex-A pipe for it to be put onto this fitting. It will not slide on otherwise. This is not a universal Drop Ear for all pex applications. Is specifically for one type of pex connection. Its in the description for crying outloud....
Randy: I used these in my shower rebuild!
Happy to use these in my shower rebuild.
Jon Seaman: Not actually 1/2"
This will not fit 1/2" pex like its sold to do. This is 3/4" even though sold as 1/2"
MEB: Does NOT fit 1/2" Pex
Went to install this on my 1/2" PEX (sharkbite brand, from Lowe's) and it does not fit. At all. Too big for 1/2" pex, too small for 3/4", not really sure wtf this is supposed to fit. The connector is almost the same width as the 1/2" pipe, with the pex system it should fit right in but if i wanted to get this on I'd have to expand and finagle the pipe to a dangerous degree, and there's no way the crimp ring would fit on. Waste of money and too late for me to return; don't make the same mistake.
